DPSI joined the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP) earlier this year. SMRP is a nonprofit professional society aimed at developing and promoting excellence in maintenance, reliability and physical asset management. Our team is enjoying the benefits of membership by participating in both local and national events such as the SMRP Annual Conference.
There are over 20 local chapters for SMRP members to join, with plenty of learning and networking opportunities. DPSI attended its first SMRP Carolinas event in March of this year, which consisted of presentations and plant tour at a large manufacturing facility in eastern North Carolina. Networking with industry professionals helps the DPSI team gain insightful feedback on maintenance and reliability challenges. Hearing first-hand accounts of identifying problems and finding solutions is invaluable as it relates to improving maintenance management software.
The DPSI team will be attending and presenting at this year’s SMRP Carolinas Chapter Annual Meeting on August 22 in Mt. Pleasant, SC. We will present a workshop titled, “Maximize ROI by Integrating Condition Monitoring with CMMS” at the meeting, which takes place on board the USS Yorktown.
Additionally, we will be exhibiting at the SMRP 2019 Annual Conference on October 7-10 in Louisville, KY. The conference attracts more than 1,200 maintenance, reliability and physical asset management professionals and practitioners across a variety of industries. This year’s keynote presentation will be given by Aron Rolston, author of the New York Times best-selling book Between a Rock and a Hard Place and inspiration behind the film 127 Hours.
Make sure to visit DPSI at Booth #1006 at the SMRP Annual Conference in October!
